The types of child abuse

Abstract
This study was started to offer fundamental statistical data based on general elementary students and their parents concerning the patterns of child abuse; hence investigating and analyzing the prevention of child abuse in the future. The study was preceeded in 5 elementary schools in K district C county based on 462 students from second to sixth grade and 144 parents correspondingly he research was conducted between the dates 2008.11.20 - 2008.12.20 The study analysis used the SPSS WIN 12.0 These are the results. Among child abuse, corporal punishment was the most common in somatic abuse, and hatred and contempt was the most common in emotional abuse. Lastly among noninterference safety and protection and educational noninterference resulted as the most common type in our study. there was no difference in the frequency of child abuse among males and females and 5th elementary grade showed the highest frequency among the stuided students. Among the types of parent`s child abuse, discipline and mild form of assualt was the highest frequency in somatic abuse, emotionally biased attitude, rejective and hatred filled language abuse was the most common in emotional abuse. Lastly among noninterference, safety and protection ; child abuse in emotional noninterference showed the highest frequency in our study. Concerning the age of parents our study showed the highest rate of child abuse between the age 30s to 40s, In addition more the stress, and less the monthly income there was a rise in child abuse. Within nuclear families somatic abuse, and within extended families noninterference showed a rate of high frequency in each. Both somatic abuse and emotional abuse; noninterference and emotional abuse showed a high correlation. However somatic abuse and noninterference showed a low correlation in our study concerning the types of child abuse.
